Meet Dr. Frank Burger, Dr. Mindy Walker, and Dr. Lily Nguyen - Optometric Team Near You
Dr. Walker is a 1998 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and has been in practice here since 1999. Dr. Walker grew up locally in Everegreen but has lived in multiple states due to her training. She trained in ocular pathology at Lovelace Hospital in New Mexico, American Lake VA in Washington, and primary eye care at Travis Airforce Base in California.
She enjoys providing care to the pediatric patients and specializing in fitting different types of soft and hard contact lenses. Her prime interest is to help young patients control their progression of myopia through different myopia management techniques.
Dr. Walker is very active and enjoys all outdoor activities with her husband and two daughters. Her interests also include volunteering in the community and schools as well as cooking, nutrition, and designing. She can help you in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Dr. Burger is a 1980 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and has been in practice in the Evergreen area since 1982. He is a member of The California and American Optometric Associations.
When not practicing, he is the busy father of four boys and husband to his wife of 38 years. He enjoys cycling, sports, reading, photography and technology. He can help you in English and Spanish.
Dr. Lily Nguyen is a 2019 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry, and completed a residency at VA West Los Angeles Medical Center specializing in Ocular Disease and Primary Care. In addition to working closely with ophthalmologists, hematologists, occupational therapists, and other disciplines to provide optimal comprehensive patient care, her residency training also included extensive training in hard-to-fit contact lenses, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, low vision rehabilitation, and geriatric care.
Dr. Nguyen brings her knowledge of medical management of ocular pathology including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She leads our dry eye clinic and glaucoma treatments. Her other special interests include dry eye syndrome, binocular vision disorders, and low vision.
In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and serving the community. She is especially passionate about homeless outreach and has also volunteered to provide pro bono eyecare to those in Mexico and Vietnam. She can help you in English, Vietnamese, and is currently learning Mandarin Chinese.
